Have you ever come across an everyday problem you don’t know how to solve and wish your parents had taught you?
My name is Stella and as a teacher, my concern and sympathy lie with the slow and lost ones. All the focus is normally on the top achievers. Being the stars at school or college they walk away with all the attention.
Many times it is the ordinary ‘left behind’ learners who become the top achievers of the future. They reach their success through hard work, dedication and determination.
Growing up as an only child, generosity and assisting others in need, was a lifestyle. Therefore the example set by my dear parents helping and caring for others is in my genes.
Most importantly with this living experience, I can easily see the relationship mistakes my granddaughter is making out of ignorance. Above all being at the vulnerable, stubborn stage it is hard to give advice … and ultimately the idea of the letters was born.
With these letters, I want to create an information site to help the young ones on a multi-level platform on most aspects of life from self-development, find who you are.
Develop your personality, prepare yourself for a long term relationship, how to be a good friend.
At the workplace, you have the emotional intelligence to make the best decisions and how to be a person with integrity.
I just want to mention these letters are certainly not in any way professional advice. It is a reflection of my own experiences and what I was taught, therefore forwarding it to my dearest granddaughter Thinette.
Finally, enjoy the read and feel free to leave a comment or suggestion below the letters. It will be greatly appreciated.
